Lightweight Energy Panels Africa (LEPA) is a South African owned company with a vision of being the leading supplier of Affordable, Upmarket and Light Commercial solutions in South Africa and to the broader African continent. LEPA has identified a unique business model that will not only address the housing problem, but will provide Turn Key Technology that will Revolutionize the African Market

As part of the Clean Energy Efficiency Strategy of the Department of Minerals and Energy, the SANS 204 standard will soon become mandatory for all new buildings.  In lieu of the looming global energy crisis the SANS 204 standard is aimed at promoting the use of alternative energy and the reduction of conventional energy consumption in all buildings, including residential developments. LEPA’s energy saving solutions is not just limited to the use of its panels.  LEPA is also promoting the use of energy saving appliances as well as the use of alternative energy sources.  These initiatives would include solar water heating devices, solar energy panels, sewer treatment and water purification plants which include the use of bio-gas activators as an alternative source for energy (gas for lighting and cooking).

LIP Model

LEPA (Pty) Ltd is also committed to the development of industrial parks throughout Africa as part of its endeavour to give expression to its social development policies and objectives. The concept or business model of the LIP’s are aimed at creating at least 20 to 25 sustainable business opportunities in each park.  In addition 750 to 1000 jobs complete with training and entrepreneurial development programmes will also be created.

The park will be developed following fashionable design trends, equipped with the latest technology and will be operated by highly skilled business leaders.  It will feature office parks with business and conference centres, retail centres, factories and warehouses, capable of creating a sustainable secondary economy for the people of Africa.
